Zakaria Paliashvili, National opera & ballet Tbilisi, Georgia

The Georgian National Theater was founded in 1851, and since 1896 it has been in the current building, which has been damaged several times in fires.

The Project

The exterior facade is typically European, while the interior is decorated in an oriental style. It was named after Zachary Palyashvili in 1937, a Georgian composer. A major reconstruction was completed in January 2015. A completely new AV system was installed.
